Meet Our Horses
From steady first-teachers to seasoned competitors — every horse here has a story and a job they're good at.
2002 Thoroughbred
An off-track racehorse, retired and retrained by Nicole starting at age five. Now schooling first-level dressage and jumping courses up to 3', with several Novice event completions — patient enough for a beginner, still plenty of horse for an advanced rider.
2001 Thoroughbred / Clydesdale Cross
A longtime, well-loved school horse and barn favorite. Icky has taught riders of every level to ride with precision and correctness in the tack.
1999 Paint Gelding
Unflappable and steady, Cowboy is the ideal first teacher for riders starting from the very beginning.
Quarter Pony · Leased from Laikyn Cook
Safe enough for a beginner and lively enough to be genuinely fun for a more advanced rider — May Leigh does a bit of everything.
1998 Quarter Horse · Leased from Stephanie Hurd
A seasoned schoolmaster who loves to jump, with something to teach a rider at nearly any level.
2003 Thoroughbred, Unraced · Owned by Nicole
After an extended recovery, Rafe found his footing competing in Recognized Dressage — a quieter path than the track, and one that suits him well.
2008 Off-Track Thoroughbred · Co-owned by Nicole & Rich Smith
Originally purchased as a hunt prospect, Chance found his real talent in eventing — moving steadily up through the levels at Recognized Horse Trials.
